Fund Raising » 88 Days Campaign Overview
Since the establishment in 2004, HER Fund has made grants to support over 40 women's projects in Hong Kong. The issues concerns include sexual violence, gender equality, political participation and health rights. All our works would not be succeeded without the generous contributions from our supporters!
As our main tasks include raise fund and make grants to promote women's rights work, HER Fund organizes our annual fundraising event "88 Days Campaign" to raise fund for making grants to women's projects, and also raise awareness of the general public on women's issues.
Why "88 Days" for the Campaign?

It originated from the fact that between International Human Rights Day on 10 December and International Women's Day on 8 March the following year are 88 days, and combines this with the concept of women's human rights. The Campaign plays around the number 88 and encourages individuals to donate $88 or multiples of 88 during these 88 days and donate the total to HER Fund on 8 March. |
| "88" is also a lucky number in Chinese signifying blessings and prosperity, adding a culturally significant element to this campaign. | |
