ONE STEP FURTHER: #AccelerateAction

This year celebrates the 21st anniversary of HER Fund, or 20 + 1 – where “+1” places an emphasis on “counting me or others in”. Our theme for this IWD is “One Step Further” - how can we, no matter our position in this space, no matter how big or small, take one step further towards gender equality?

At our annual fundraising event, we invited our grantee partners including Self Love Cupid, Community Cultural Concern, PrideLab, The Association for the Advancement of Feminism(AAF) and Virtuous Lady Club as speakers and performers. They discussed about the challenges serving the marginalised communities, and the importance of a seed grant support and capacity building programmes. Every conversation we had was a reminder that we are all connected by a common goal: to take one step further towards gender equality. Each participant and organisation is a testament to the change we can create collectively.

While 21 years might seem like a long time for an organisation, to put it into another perspective, it’s the age of a young adult. It’s a time for discovery, exploration, and inspiration. We hope all of you can join our journey together to take one step further!
