In mid-June, HER Fund has invited Save the Children Hong Kong to provide training on safeguarding children or Vulnerable Individuals from harm to 9 leaders from 5 grantee partner organisations and HER Fund's staff and board members.

The grantee partners that participated in this workshop all might need to come into contact with children or vulnerable individuals in their own work to varying degrees. The principles, practices and the relevant internal protocol covered in Save the Children’s training are no doubt very important to being able to safely carry out work in the organisation.

Participants also broadened their imagination of safe programme, and expressed interest in getting to know more about how to safeguard their community, such as preventing sexual harassment, and creating gender and disability friendly space. Participants expressed that the training enabled them to better support safeguarding practices in their organisations.
