Bridging Resources, Meeting with Global Fund for Women

Other than a grant maker, HER Fund is also a mobilizer and bridger of resources to our grantee partners.

On 1st April, 2014 HER Fund co-ordinated 19 women's groups and organizations to meet with Musimbi Kanyoro, the President and CEO of Global Fund for Women during her short stay in Hong Kong.

We talked about different issues and concerns of the marginalized women's groups , including gender education for young girls, issues related to the rights of migrant workers, transgender, sex workers, new immigrant women, grassroots women worker, gender equality, policy advocacy, women in politics and so on. At the same time, Musimbi shared their grant making priorities and goals, which focus on gender based violence, building regional network, women leadership, advocacy and actions for social justice.

It was a wonderful learning and fruitful exchange experiences to us all !
