This project is to sustain and upskill the crafters’ community facilitated by Grassroots Future. Regular workshops have been held for refugees and asylum seekers to crochet and sew together. These workshops aim to empower refugees and asylum seekers by facilitating their artistic practice as well as building a community of mutual help. This project will also include IT trainings for community leaders so that they can manage an online shopfront. Not only will it allow more autonomy within the refugee and asylum seeker community. It also supports the community leaders in acquiring invaluable administrative and computer skills. |
